Personally I don't buy anything until I've shopped around and compared prices and products. Only then, and when I feel confident, I found the best possible deal in town, I will put my money down. I opened my first store in 1978 when I was 20 and living in Guatemala where I spent my teenage and University years.By age 23 I had 3 stores but had to scale back when the communist threat peaked. After graduating the University, I returned to the U.S. and worked with non-profit, community-based youth organizations until I decided to get back into the Furniture Business in 2001.Since, I have worked hard to prosper, remain in business and bring integrity and low prices to an industry in which a buyer must "beware". Having several stores is no longer my focus, selling at the lowest possible price is.
