That excellence is exhibited through : Quality Dentistry Affordable Service Compassionate Care Employee Biographies: Sheryl is a Registered Dental Hygienist, and has been with Davidson Family Dentistry for 8 years. Prior to becoming a hygienist, Sheryl had already spent 15 years in dentistry as a Certified Dental Assistant. Her favorite part of coming to work each day is not only educating patients, but also being a friend to each and every person who enters her operatory. She looks forward to the flexibility and the positive challenges that each patient provide. Sheryl and her husband have 2 grown children; her daughter also has a love of the dental profession-she is a dentist in Keokuk, Iowa. Much of her free time is spent volunteering: Sheryl is very active in Children's Church, professional face painting at events including college football games, ministry of Christian Clowning, and she participates in walking events to raise money for cancer foundations. Raising money for children's cancer benefits is an activity that means a lot to her. _____________ Donna is a Registered Dental Assistant with the additional training of Expanded Functions Dental Assistant. She has been part of the practice for 15 years. _____________ Star has been part of the front desk staff at Davidson Family Dentistry for 27 years. _____________ Stefanie has been employed at the front desk for Davidson Family Dentistry for 14 years. Although she keeps up with continuing education to remain registered as a Dental Assistant, she loves working at the front desk because it provides more interaction with our patients. Developing relationships with patients and co-workers has been the highlight of her years in this practice. Most of her spare time involves music: she is a flute player and loves performing music for the Repertory Theater of Iowa, at farmers markets, renaissance faires, in community bands and several other musical ensembles. She is also very involved as a volunteer at nursing homes, a free clinic, and in the music ministry and youth ministry programs of several Des Moines area Catholic churches. Stef also loves biking, and has recently developed the hobby of training for, and participating in 5k races. _____________ Stacie has been an employee at Davidson Family Dentistry for a month. In the time she has been here so far, she has already been able to determine that her favorite part of being an employee here are the people that she works with! Her position here in our office is Registered Dental Assistant with front office duties as well. She has 24 years experience in the dental field, 14 of those years were spent in the specialty of pediatric dentistry. Stacie was trained on the job as a dental assistant, and, as dental materials and technology changed, she took continuing education classes to become registered, and she now also has taken courses to earn the title of "Expanded Functions" dental assistant. Stacie is married with 3 children, and her family is her favorite hobby. Much of her free time is spent, along with her husband, attending the many activities of their children. _____________ Cami is a Registered Dental Hygienist who has been with Davidson Family Dentistry for 14 and a half years. She loves the fact that this office truly cares about and wants the best for our patients. She really enjoys being around, and talking to, the many patients that come into her operatory each day. Parenting is a full-time hobby for Cami! She and her husband are kept busy with the many activities of their 3 children, including sports, church, show choir, and band. Besides chaperoning and attending the activites of her children, she also has a lot of fun occasionally taking the stage herself in church drama productions. _____________ Ann has been with Davidson Family Dentistry for 11 years as a Registered Dental Hygienist. Her favorite part of being a team member here is is getting to know the patients. Outside of the office, Ann and her husband are kept very busy with many activities of their 3 children. _____________ Shannon has more than 30 years of dental experience. She became a member of Davidson Family Dentistry 24 years ago. Shannon is currently a part-time assistant to the receptionist staff, and she is a filing diva! Her secretarial background began in 1980, and her first experience in dentistry involved dental insurance. Her favorite part of the office are the people with whom she works. While not working, Shannon's time is filled with many hobbies: biking, attending symphony concerts, playing bridge, and dancing. She is also extremely involved in volunteering. Some of her favorite volunteer activities are IRIS (Iowa Radio Reading & Information Service for the blind), and tour guide for Terrace Hill. _____________ Jan has been with Davidson Family Dentistry for 7 years as a Registered, Expanded Functions Dental Assistant for Dr. Vonnahme. She loves being part of such a large practice and enjoys spending time each day with her many co-workers! Much of Jan's spare time involves volunteer work. She donates a lot of time to various dental community service activities, not only in the immediate Des Moines area, but all over the state of Iowa. She also enjoys biking, gardening, flowers, lansdcaping, and decorating. _____________ Vicki has been a Registered Dental Hygienist with Davidson Family dentistry for 13 years. She sums up her experience with the quote, "This is a great office!". She looks forward to coming in to work each morning and enjoys the camaraderie of her co-workers _____________ Melody has been with Davidson Family Dentistry for 3 years. She is a Registered Dental Assistant with Expanded Functions training. She came to us with with a year and a half experience in the specialty of Pediatric Dentistry _____________ Tiffany is a Registered Dental Hygienist, currently persuing a Bachelor's Degree in Dental Hygiene. She has been a team member of Davidson Family Dentistry for 4 years. Before earning her license as a hygienst, Tiffany had 4 years of experience as an Expanded Functions, Certified Dental Assistant. Her favorite activity outside of the office is being a new mom, spending time with her son. _____________ Jamie has been in this office for nearly 10 years as a Registered Dental Hygienist. Her favorite part of the day at Davidson Family Dentistry is knowing that the time she spends with her patients is beneficial to their health. In her spare time, Jamie enjoys working out at the gym, gardening, and playing piano. _____________ Jody has been here for 7 years, but she came to our team with an already impressive 40 years in the dental industry! She works in the business office, and her favorite part of dentistry is the patients. When she is not at work, most of her time is spent on her favorite hobby-making quilts. _____________ Brenda is a Registered Dental Assistant with Expanded Functions Dental Assistant cedentials. She has been part of the Davidson Family Dentistry staff for 18 years. While not at the office, Brenda enjoys spending time biking and sewing.
