About Our History Story Homer and Lois Butterfield started Butterfield Jewelers in 1936. Currently the store is owned and operated by second and third generation Jack Butterfield and his son, John. John is planning on continuing the tradition of Butterfield Jewelers into the future, specializing in custom, hand-made designs. Jack Butterfield has over 50 years experience in buying and selling fine diamonds. John has over 20 years of experience in jewelry making and repairs and holds Diamonds and Diamond Grading Certificates from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA).
