About Jeweler's Workshop is a custom design studio. We do special order work, restoration repair, and we'll buy your old gold - unless you want to use that gold in your next project. Stop in for free cleaning and we'll talk about your next design project! Story JWS was started in 1946 as a trade shop, originally located in downtown Grand Rapids in the Fox building on Monroe. Ron bought the business in 1979 and steered the business toward retail and design instead of tradework. In 1994 we moved to our current location on the NW side of Grand Rapids, where we have cultivated a customer base with an interest in unique jewelry.
