About Loving God, Loving People, Loving Life!! Story At Sumner Family Church, we are a growing community of individuals choosing to come together for one purpose. We exist to introduce Jesus Christ in a relevant way to our community, and to lead people into their own personal relationship with Jesus. We seek to genuinely love people, and to be a place where people can be real, and where healing and wholeness can be found. Mission Loving God, Loving People, Loving Life Jesus summarized all of the commandments into two. Most important - "so love the Lord God with all your passion and prayer and intelligence and energy" (Mark 12:30 - MSG) reminding us that we were created to love God and to honor Him in everything that we do. It is our first priority. Second, "love others as well as you love yourself" (Mark 12:31-MSG) commanding us to genuinely love people. It is a call to action to serve people, and thru our actions show them the love of Jesus Christ. Loving Life is the nautral result of loving God and loving people, it's a process that we walk and grow in daily as we strive to be more like Jesus. Investing In The Next Generation Kids and Youth are of the utmost priority at Sumner Family Church. They are the future leaders of our church, our community, our country and our world. We believe the God has called us to invest ourselves in them, and do everything that we can to make them better than ourselves. Jeremiah 29:11 (MSG) says "I know what I'm doing, I have it all planned out - plans to take care of you, not to abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for" While this is true for everyone, we make it our purpose to establish a solid foundation for kids and youth to discover God's plan for their lives. Together On The Mission Mark 16:15 (MSG) says "Go into the world. Go everywhere and annouce the Message of God's good news to one and all." We believe that God has called Sumner Family church to reach people across the street, and around the world. We are passionate about being purposeful in our efforts, and believe that if we start within our community, we can fulfill the greater purpose of Healing Our City to Heal Our World.
