About Olivet Private School is a K-1non-traditional private school recognized by the state of Florida as 617 school. More commonly known as an "umbrella school". OPS is a school registered since 1982 according to the Florida Statutes as a 617 (non-profit, private) school. Years of experience and continued training provide members with a secure environment for their children's academic oversite. OPS is a school dedicated to Christian principles. OPS is an organization for the academic, moral, and social accountability of home-educating families OPS is not equipped to accommodate students with learning disabilities. OPS has a library with over 1,000 books, curriculum and wonderful fiction, that members may use free of charge. Most importantly, Olivet is a ministry that serves the needs of Christian homeschoolers. All members of Olivet are active ministry participants, sharing their passion for homeschooling with one another to the benefit of all.
