About The Care Center Animal Blood Bank is a well-established, full-service, non-profit veterinary blood bank located at Care Center in Cincinnati, Ohio Story The Care Center Animal Blood Bank offers our veterinary community a full assortment of blood products ready to administer should your pet become critically ill and/or require a transfusion. We are pleased to partner with Hill's Pet Nutrition to provide this valuable, life-saving service. To schedule your dog for a free blood donor screening, please call 513-530-0911. The perfect canine blood donor is: -1 to 7 years of age -Friendly -More than 50 pounds (in lean body weight) -Healthy -Up-to-date on vaccines and take monthly heartworm preventative -Not on any medication (other than flea, tick, and heartworm; some exceptions made) -Never received a blood transfusion before -Willing to donate 3-4 times per year
