About Bridges is a casual, mainly outdoor restaurant on Trail Creek. Opened in 2002, Bridges Waterside Grille serves sandwiches, soups, wraps and salads as well Story Bridges is a dockside restaurant serving sandwiches, wraps, burgers, seafood, salads, vegetarian & gluten free food. We are located on Trail Creek near the shores of Lake Michigan by the highway 12 overpass and the historic Amtrak swing bridge. Bridges is very family friendly with mostly outdoor seating, although there is a comfortable indoor dining area as well. Our deck is a lively place for delicious food, refreshing drinks, and a large selection of beer from the region. Located a mere 10 minute walk to the public beach at Washington Park and a 10 minute drive to the Dunes National Lakeshore, Bridges is tucked in a corner at the center of everything going on in Michigan City. Near the Washington Park Zoo, tons of outdoor recreation including beach volleyball and splashpad, 2 local breweries, Shoreline Brewery and Burn 'Em Brewing, and the Uptown Arts District. Close to both Washington Park and Trail Creek Marinas, Bridges is the most boat-friendly restaurant in town.
