About Iron Beaver Weightlifting is an Olympic Weightlifting, Powerlifting and Strength & Conditioning facility in Corvallis, OR. Story Iron Beaver Weightlifting was started in 2014 by Head Coach Chris Swartz. Coach Swartz started Iron Beaver Weightlifting with the goal of making Oregon a contender in national meets once again. "Oregon was once home to some of the best weightlifters in the nation and world and I want Oregon to reach that level of talent again". After years of training, competing and becoming more and more involved in weightlifting, coach Swartz realized that the mindset of the competitive athletes within Oregon needed to change. When starting Iron Beaver Weightlifting coach Swartz set out to create an environment were every lifter, no matter how good, bad, young, old, experienced or novice was always striving to become better and never was willing to accept less than their best. Thus this is the Iron Beaver philosophy; NEVER ACCEPT SECOND IN ANYTHING. With this philosophy to help guide the team and coaches of Iron Beaver Weightlifting, we has already become one of the most proficient teams in Oregon and have made very sizable steps into become one of the elite clubs in the nation in just 1 short year. The Iron Beaver Weightlifting team is growing in size and strength everyday.
