About Real. Good. Food. Story Paw-Paw’s Place is a hometown diner, located in north Asheboro, North Carolina. We’re just a short drive from the world-renowned NC Zoo, and you don’t want to miss enjoying a meal here. We offer fabulous breakfasts, featuring homemade ingredients like slow-cooked grits, sausage gravy, French toast, and French-style omelets. If you decide to come for lunch, we have the best burgers in town, using Certified Angus Beef hand-pattied each morning. We also have all-beef hot dogs, including a ¼ pound hot dog! Top these with homemade chili and homemade slaw and have yourself a true Carolina dog. Our Cheesesteak and Philly Chicken subs can’t be beat, and the amazing Triple-Decker Club is a meal by itself.
