About We are a Non-Profit organization aimed towards helping the community. Story Seat Pleasant Community Development Corporation plays a leadership role in creating no and low interest, energy efficient home loans. SPCDC administers a grant awarded from the Recovery Act for Greening the Community. SPCDC provides FREE energy efficient upgrades that includes: energy audit, weatherization and retrofit of homes with energy technology and energy star appliances. SPCDC conducts a pilot training program leading to certification, job eligibility and on-the-job training in the emerging green economy for under and unemployed residents. SPCDC fosters temporary/part-time and permanent jobs for hard- to-employ residents SPCDC conceived an on-going streamlined process to provide forgivable environmental remediation home loans Mission The Mission of the 20743 Community Development Corporation is to enhance the communities primarily within 20743 and surrounding areas through programs that improve housing, economic conditions, health, education and the general well being of the communities we serve.
