About Blue Mound Fire Department Story Blue Mound Fire Department (BMFD) is located in the North Central part of Tarrant County. BMFD provides fire and EMS services to the City of Blue Mound and we have mutual aid agreements with surrounding communities. BMFD has provided Basic Life Support EMS First Response since being founded. On Sept. 1, 2011, BMFD started providing Advanced Life Support to our citizens. This allows us to provide a much higher level of care such as administration of medications, intubations, and cardic monitoring. Mission Blue Mound Fire Department strives to provide high quality fire and EMS services to the citizens we serve and set the standards that other departments will follow.
