About The goal of the salon was a simple one: to provide a home for creative minded people, with a clear focus on effortless, natural, beautiful hair. Story James O'Regan and Damon Footer are no strangers to the beauty industry. After first earning their apprenticeships in Cork City, Ireland and London, England respectively, they met at Carlton Hair in Los Angeles in the early 90's. Over the course of twenty years working together they oversaw the training and development of many hundreds of Hairdressers in a salon group of thirty salons strong. In 2003 they launched the Academy, a space that soon became home to a variety of education programs, management courses and a world renowned creative team. In addition to ad campaigns that were published in Vogue, Bazaar and others, their images have also been published in every major industry magazine in the world. With all of this experience under their belts they decided it was time to break away and form an independent business and in May of 2014 they opened the doors to the Rua Salon And Spa. The goal of the salon was a simple one: to provide a home for creative minded people, with a clear focus on effortless, natural, beautiful hair. In just the first year alone the salon has quickly become one of the most sought after in the community. One of five national winners of the pestigeous Hair, Fashion and Fantasy Award hosted by Bumble and Bumble, the images of their latest endeavor have already earned them national recognition.
