About A local legend since 1945, Carbone's Market is a full-service Italian deli, grocery, and caterer. Story Carbone’s Market has been a community favorite since 1945, when Alphonse and Nellie Carbone decided to open up a corner market. In 1972, their nephew, Tony Renzullo bought it, and he started us on the path we're on today. Now owned by longtime patrons Heath and Alice Leonard, Carbone’s is a full-service grocery and Italian deli. We specialize in catering for any event, hot foods, freshly butchered meats, and deli sandwiches. Our grinders are actually something of a local legend. Think fresh bread from Waterbury overstuffed with premium meats, cheese, and your favorite toppings. A lot has changed over the years, but a few things remain the same: our commitment to superior customer service and our pride in serving Torrington.
