Mission
Message from the Chief of Police

I would like to start by saying it is an honor and privilege to serve as Chief of Police of the community of Ambler. All of our department members are dedicated to helping people, and families, improve the neighborhood environment as a means to a safer, more enjoyable community. This year we participated in hot chocolate with a cop at one of our local establishments. This gave police and the community an opportunity for dialogue in a relaxed atmosphere, to encourage a better relationship, more equitable treatment by the police, greater police responsiveness and accountability, and willingness of residents to work with police. Working together will make lasting improvements and encourage the community and officers to offer suggestions on how we might provide better police service now and in the future.

Recently we hired two new police officers and I would like to say they have been an asset to the Ambler Borough Police Department family. Both are disciplined, educated and physically fit, along with demonstrating teamwork and having a solid work ethic. All of the officers are here to serve the community. We want this Borough to be a safe place for all that live and visit here. If you see anything that doesn’t appear to be right, please call 911 if it is in progress. If upon reflection you want to report activities, that previously occurred, call 215-643-6444 (non-emergency number) and tell the dispatcher you would like to make a report. Any and all information is relevant and can help us in preventing or solving crime in our society. “If You See Something, Say Something.”
