About Dedicated to providing our community with an opportunity to sing (without audition) and to experience our performances (without admission). Story A community choir of about 60 members. Although we pay professionals to lead and accompany us, our members are volunteers who join without audition. Our regular concerts are always free! Mission A. To contribute positively to the musical environment of the area it serves, whether local, state, or national. B. To provide an organization is open to all post-high-school-age singers without audition. C. To provide free, public concerts. D. To educate and entertain area residents who attend YCC performances. E. To provide special concerts in conjunction with the Ypsilanti Community Band. F. To provide an opportunity for individual musical expression and growth among the membership. G. To reaffirm the roll of the community concert choir in American music.
