About:
About The Borough of Freemansburg was incorporated in January, 1856 and is approximately one square mile in size. Named after Jacob Freeman, whose grandfather settled this area in the 1700's, the Borough has grown to a population of over 2000 residents. Story The Freemansburg Police Department serves a community of approximately 3000 residents. The Police Department is staffed with 12 officers who display professionalism. Our officers place a great emphasis on community policing, traffic enforcement and the deterrence of criminal activity within the borough. The department is undergoing changes in order to maintain our current excellent quality of life in the borough and keep up with the needs of our residents.
