The church’s vision is to live the gospel of Jesus Christ and be God’s love with our neighbors in all places. The ministry of The First United Methodist Church is used to inform, educate, inspire, nurture, enable, and empower children, youth and adults. The resources available to the congregation help the people grow in their relationship with God through weekly activities. As the congregation is inspired, they are also empowered in building relationships with our neighbors, particularly with those who have been disenfranchised by mainstream society. As a church we allow each individual or group to discover their gifts and graces and how they can best use those in making disciples for Jesus.
