About Vargas Gallery encourages students, faculty, and the local community to participate in a creative environment. Story Vargas Gallery is open for proposals. Please send us your proposal at least 4 months in advance to: gallery@jmvu.edu Mission Mission The Vargas Gallery mission is to encourage students, faculty, and the local community to participate in a creative environment that acquires and exhibits works of art that engage in a conversation with the contemporary artworld. Through exhibitions and seminars, Vargas Gallery aims to educate and create an ongoing dialogue with the public in the concepts of national and international contemporary art and its role in society. By exhibiting the work of students, faculty, emerging artists and established international and local artists, Vargas Gallery fosters education that stimulates critical thinking and art appreciation. Vision The Vargas Gallery vision is to be an active participant of the art community in South Florida and abroad while enriching the quality of life and art knowledge of the Jose Maria Vargas University community.
