About Transforming Pittsburgh by awakening a new generation to life in Christ Story This church has been in the heart of the city since 1773. Over a hundred years ago when other downtown churches were selling their property and moving to the suburbs the leaders of the church couldn't imagine downtown Pittsburgh without First Presbyterian Church. For over two centuries this church has been in the heart of the city with the city in its heart. We have a Casavant organ and 13 priceless Tiffany stained glass windows.
