About Two museums in Campbell, CA in the heart of Silicon Valley: the Campbell Historical Museum and the historic Ainsley House. Story The Ainsley House, a historic house museum, was the third home of local cannery owner John Colpitts Ainsley and his wife Alcinda. The Campbell Historical Museum offers artifacts that help visitors interpret and recall the vanishing world of Santa Clara County's past. Both museums are owned and operated by the city of Campbell. Mission The mission of the Campbell Historical Museum and Ainsley House is to interpret to a broad public audience, in innovative and meaningful ways, the history of the Campbell area from its pioneer beginnings to the 21st century and relate that history within the broader context of the Santa Clara Valley and encompassing region.
