About Oldest lighthouse on the West Coast Story This lighthouse has been operating continuously since February 1, 1855. The US Coast Guard operates the lantern while the City of Pacific Grove maintains the lighthouse as a museum open to the public 5 days a week. Restoration is under the direction of the Heritage Society of Pacific Grove. Visitors welcome.
