About Mollnir Construction LLC is a full service, "dirt to door knobs" residential construction company specializing in rennovation and remodle. No project is too big or small. Clean, non-smoking jobsites and trustworthy people! Story "Mollnir" is my interperatation of the Swedish word Mjolnir. It is the name of Thor's hammer and translates to "the crusher." Since we like to keep our consonants seperate in the English language I thought I would take a little artistic liberty and created Mollnir -a more user friendly version. I have a 22oz framing hammer. Since we use neumatic tools almost exclusively for framing now "framing hammer" is a bit of a misnomer. More often then not we use them for demo -for crushing things. Demo is what keeps this carpenter sane. In choosing the name for my business I also wanted to pay homage to my roots. I might be a few gernations removed (my great gandparents were off the boat Swedes) but I still take pride in our Swedish heritage. After all, there are some brilliant examples of craftsmanship from the Viking ships to todays modern architecture in Sweden. So, Mjolinir/Mollnir it is.
