About Vino is an authentic Spanish tapas bar, offering in an extensive wine list of over 100 international and domestic wines. Story Vino Wine and Tapas Room first opened its doors on August 27, 2007 as a culinary vision from its owner, Alla Volk. Before making its claim to fame, Vino was a small Falafel restaurant being sold by a friend of the family. Seeing what no one else saw and defying all opposition, Alla opened the restaurant as the first authentic Spanish tapas bar in the San Fernando Valley. After traveling to Spain, overcome with inspiration, the decision for her was set in stone-- bring Tapas back with her. After 8 years, Vino has become a staple for authentic and traditional Spanish Tapas as well as a modern hub for wine enthusiasts and connoisseurs alike. Ms. Volk still owns the restaurant to this day.
