About Christ the King Church -- an evangelical, Spirit-filled, sacramental congregation Story Christ the King, founded in 1996, is a "three streams" church --evangelical, sacramental, and charismatic. It is the Cathedral Church of the Diocese of the Mid-South which includes Georgia and Tennessee. It is a member congregation of the Charismatic Episcopal Church. The pastor is David Epps, who also serves as the bishop of the diocese. Services are at 8:30 and 10:00 a.m. every Sunday. The church has active music ministries, children's ministries, youth ministries, a motorcycle ministry, and men's and women's ministries. A service of Holy Communion is held every Monday evening at 7:00 pm and a short service with music, prayer, Holy Communion, and teaching is conducted at noon each Wednesday. The congregation gives at least 10% of its income beyond its own walls and, in the local community, supports One Roof, Coweta Pregnancy Services, Community Welcome House , Fayette Pregnancy Resource Center, and other worthy causes. Church clergy also serve as hospital chaplains, hospice chaplains, and law enforcement chaplains. The church Parish Life Center also serves as a meeting place for the Marine Corps League, the Military Order of the Devil Dogs, and for other community organizations.
