About "Buffalo's Backyard Wilderness" Story A unique 292-acre complex of forests, ponds and wetlands, and designated "Watchable Wildlife" site. Trails are open to the public daily year-round, dawn to dusk. Dogs and other pets are not allowed at the nature preserve (except for trained service animals). The Education Center is open Mon- Fri, 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Sat 1:00 PM - 4:30 PM. Admission to park and nature center is free.
