The meals are generally low in fat and prepared with little or no salt added. Food is delivered hot and ready to eat in fiberboard containers. Hot and cold meals are delivered to clients five days a week, 52 weeks of the year. These meals are prepared in the North Tonawanda Meals on Wheels kitchen to accommodate dietary needs, and then delivered by a dedicated rotation of 160 volunteers.
