About El Patio History Story Gerardo and Maria Perez always had the dream of being entrepreneurs and bringing authentic Mexican flavor to the Texas Panhandle, while working side by side. They took on the great task of opening a restaurant in their initial location of 5619 Amarillo Blvd. and after great success they branched out to beautiful historic Canyon in 1999.
