About Christ the Savior Orthodox Church brings to the Ballston Spa area the Orthodox faith, through living in liturgy and community. Story We welcome you to the website of Christ the Savior Orthodox Church in Ballston Lake, NY. Our parish was founded as a mission to the Saratoga County area in 1988. Whether you are an Orthodox Christian moving into the area and looking for an Orthodox church-home, seeking to renew your faith, or someone unfamiliar with but interested in Orthodoxy, we encourage you to visit our community. You have not come to a mere meeting house of a "denomination" or to a museum of an ancient culture, but to the very "House of God, the Gate of Heaven", where the only living and true God - the Holy Trinity - is worshipped "in spirit and in truth".
