About Manayunk Tavern Story Manayunk Tavern opened its doors on November 12, 2007, in the space formerly occupied by Mainly Desserts, Fishtank on Main, and Sole' Osteria Italiana. Owned and operated by Jeffrey W. Bender and Joseph M. Keough, the Tavern quickly found it's own niche on the historic and happening Main Street of Philadelphia's Manayunk section.
