About Taj Mahal is New Orleans' first Indian restaurant, opened in 1982, and found it's present home on Metairie road in 1992 Story The late Har G. Keswani with his wife Anila Keswani opened Taj Mahal, to satisfy his creative urges for cooking, and to bring Indian Culture to New Orleans, thru FOOD! Nothing conveys culture like FOOD!
