About The Meadows School is an independent, coeducational PK-12 college prep school located on a beautiful 40-acre campus in northwest Las Vegas, NV. Story Founded by Carolyn G. Goodman and Dr. LeOre Cobbley, The Meadows School officially opened on September 4, 1984 with an enrollment of 140 students in grades K-6. Today, The Meadows School is home to more than 900 students in grades PreK-12 and 125 employees. It is accredited by the Northwest Accreditation Commission (NWAC) and the Northwest Association of Independent Schools (NAIS). Mission The mission of The Meadows School is to develop in its students a love of and respect for learning, inspire them to seek knowledge independently, and prepare them for higher academic pursuits. The Meadows School strives to live its motto, "In Pursuit of Excellence." It believes that successful education is the product of having a Master Teacher in every classroom who "teaches to the top," that is, keeps the brightest student in the class fully challenged while providing a pathway to success for every student. It welcomes academically ambitious children, and since its first Upper School Commencement in 1991, 100 percent of graduates from The Meadows School have been accepted into four-year colleges or universities.
