Story Bedford Park District maintains approximately 34 acres of parks, including 14 acres of property leased from Commonwealth Edison. Community Park is the largest park and is home to the District's Administrative Office, Swanson Gymnasium, Lily Pad Splash Park, Ballfields, and Picnic Pavilion. Mission The Bedford Park District is a municipal agency established to maintain attractive parks and scenic areas and provide recreation programs for people of all ages. Our main goal is to offer quality programs and services that enhance life experiences through recreational, health, and educational programs today and for generations to come.
