About Since 1952, Key Agency Inc. stands ready to serve you for all your insurance needs. Story Key Agency, Inc. is a four generation owned insurance agency, founded in 1952 by George Dignam. George was joined by his son, Tom, in 1962, when they built their first office on Manasota Key, at Beach Road. After ten great years on the beach, Key Agency needed a larger location and built their current office on McCall Road (SR776). Key Agency is known regionally for being very community minded by supporting education, youth and adult sports, the arts, environmental causes and assisting our community’s most needy individuals. The management at Key Agency encourages their staff to be active in the community, and many are, whether it is serving on a committee, board, volunteering at charity events or assisting with fundraisers. Each year, Key Agency and the Dignam family donate thousands of dollars to various not-for-profit groups, as well as giving thousands in educational scholarships to those who want to further their education at college, a trade school or vocational level. It is a true philosophy of giving that is practiced at Key Agency each day.
