Story At Essence of China, friendly service is efficient and the menu is seasoned with diversity. Chef Chen is an experienced chef, bringing Mandarin cuisine to Portland. Our amazing menu offers new and familiar entrées. Lightly sauced Cantonese dishes are piled high with pure ingredients, while only fresh ingredients are used to ensure the best tasting Chinese food. Our lunch menu specials are served from 11:00am to 3:00pm daily. These specials can be delivered to groups and offices for no extra charge. Dinner is served daily from 3:00pm to 10:00pm.
