About Like the BCPL system page for more information: https://www.facebook.com/bcplonline Story The Loch Raven branch opened on May 13, 1968 and is accessed via a 100-foot bridge across a stream. The Loch Raven library is the only BCPL branch to have won a design award: Architect Robert Randall Fryer Sr. won the AIA "Superior Design Award" for his design. The branch was closed beginning in 1993 for several years due to budget cuts but was reopened in June 1998 as a mini-library and, in 2013, was restored to full service in its original building.
