About Bringing Meals to People and People to Meals. 1357 Home Ave STE 1 Akron OH 44310 P: 330.376.7717 Toll Free: 1-800-TLC-MEAL Story Mobile Meals is a member of The Meals On Wheels Association of America and provides a variety of home delivery services including nutritional supplements, frozen meals, hot meals, and therapeutic meals to Cuyahoga, Portage, and Summit County residents. Mobile Meals also operates numerous congregate dining centers in Summit County and delivers pet food through their AniMeals program. Mobile Meals provides nutrition services for seniors, children, elderly, and disabled individuals. Mission OUR MISSION The purpose of Mobile Meals, Inc. is to provide quality meals and nutrition services to individuals of all ages who are at nutritional risk. We are dedicated to providing services needed to contribute to an individual's health and well-being, including the provision of food, nutritional information, social contact and a connection to other community organizations. Products SERVICES Mobile Meals far-reaching and creative vision enables us to offer a variety of services to meet the needs of an extensive and varied client base including children, disabled individuals and the elderly. We are able to accommodate clients for a limited or extended period. MEALS Budget Friendly Meals are new, delicious and exciting frozen meals available at an affordable price of only $3.25. HOT MEALS are available for those who are homebound, unable to prepare meals or need assistance. A confidential needs assessment is conducted by a Mobile Meals staff member to determine a meal plan that meets the client's needs. Hot Meals are typically delivered between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. The following types of meals are available: REGULAR - includes entree, vegetable, potato or starch, bread, dessert or fruit substitute and milk THERAPEUTIC- designed to meet specific dietary restrictions such as renal, bland or food allergies KOSHER - hot and frozen kosher meals available from a certified kosher kitchen preparing meals according to prescribed Jewish dietary regulations The standard cost of regular meals is $7.25* The standard cost of Therapeutic and Kosher meals is $8.95* *Limited subsidy funds may be available to assist those who cannot afford the full cost. FROZEN MEALS are useful alternatives to hot meals and are available in a variety of menu choices. These meals have a storage life of six months and are available in five-day and two-day packages. The regular cost of frozen meals is $7.25. Limited subsidy funds may be available to assist those who cannot afford the full cost. BLIZZARD BOXES are used in an emergency or on winter days when normal meal deliveries cannot be made. NUTRITIONAL SUPPLEMENTS Nutritional supplements are available and can be delivered to your home or picked up at our main office. We maintain a supply of liquid supplements, powders and bars. Costs vary by product. A prescription from a physician is requred.
