Story Steps of Salvation Salvation is God’s free gift to mankind, however in order to receive this gift there are some steps we must take. 1) Believe in Jesus as the son of God - John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life”. 2) Repent of sin, and our worldly lifestyles – Acts 3:19 “Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord,” 3) Confess your belief in, and acceptance of Jesus as Savior and Lord – Romans 10: 9-10 “That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
