Fluent in Spanish, he first visited South America in 1975 and Asia in 1978 and he remains fascinated with both parts of the world. The idea for Small Footprint Tours spawned from his passion for cooking and documentary photography. The trips are designed to leave barely a “small footprint” wherever they visit, in order to blend in with the local culture and capture truly unique images. You do not need to be a photographer to join the tour; you can bring a point and shoot camera, a sketchbook, or travel unencumbered. Cooking classes with local chefs are offered to learn local recipes and enjoy wonderful cuisine. Benjamin has spent years traveling the planet. He selects the destinations for his tours based on cultural richness and visual beauty. A collection of his black and white images titled "Bolivia" will be published soon.
