About Cape Cod's Only Catholic Secondary School! Story For years, families have wished for high-quality, Catholic secondary education on Cape Cod. On September 4, 2007, thanks to the tireless efforts of Cape residents and the support of the Diocese of Fall River, that dream became reality. Bishop George W. Coleman dedicated the school on September 25, 2007. Our mission is simple: to provide young women and men with a strong college-preparatory education rooted in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Unified with neighboring St. Francis Xavier Preparatory School in 2013, St. John Paul II High School & St. Francis Xavier Preparatory School provide a strong Catholic education for students in grades five through twelve. The school prepares students for success through a challenging academic program, Christian service and leadership, and co-curricular opportunities.
