About Please visit our website for more information. Story In 1929, Dr Bruning started Woodlawn Memorial Park I. He sold the cemetery in 1956 to Ross Sullivan after twenty-seven years of distinguished service to the Joliet area community. In 1969, Dr. Martinucci and Victor Gallo purchased the park and 400 additional feet to the east to allow for more growth. It is our desire to maintain the integrity of service provided since 1929. The beauty of Woodlawn is unmatched by any other cemetery or memorial park in the Joliet area.
