About Our Bar is open until 10pm Tuesday -Friday, 11 pm on Saturday and 4pm on Sunday. (Additional parking across the street and on Solvay Road) Story Nestled along the banks of the historic Butternut Creek in the Hamlet of Jamesville, New York, USA, Notch 8 Café brings a world of culinary delights and experiences to satisfy every taste.The café's Chefs, introduce a futuristic, creative flair to comfort foods of old. Notch 8 Café is more than just a restaurant and café. It is the first project to open as part of a greater vision for the Jamesville Hamlet. Opening in summer 2015 will be the Hamlet Hotel directly across the street from Notch 8 Café. Both projects will eventually work in concert with TRiNiQ, a reimagining of the former Glen Loch Mill Restaurant. Built in and around a nearly 200-year-old stone mill just down Butternut Creek from Notch 8 Café, the 'Old Glen Loch' will be transformed into an unparalleled world-class culinary and service experience. TRiNiQ will host more than ten different food and beverage experiences, all on one property. Inside the original building's three levels, there will be a pub, a family-style restaurant, and a space for the finest cuisine presented with white-glove service. There will also be a VIP lounge, a chef's table, a brick pizza oven, a raw bar, and a wine cellar. Off the back of the original building, guests will find a year-round event center, which will more than double the current overall square footage. When not being rented out for weddings and parties, the event center's deck and its live garden roof will feature al fresco dining for patrons of the rest of the facility. Lastly, spaces will be created in the property's landscape for private or semi-private outdoor dining. But the entire TRiNiQ experience, including Notch 8 Café and the Hamlet Hotel, is just the beginning. The Hamlet has a long history of bringing innovation and importance to Central New York. For the past half-century, however, the Hamlet has suffered through the effects of de-industrialization as felt throughout the 'Rust Belt'. Our team's greater vision aims to not only reverse that trend, but springboard the Hamlet and surrounding communities into a world leader in energy generation, smart growth, green infrastructure, and public/private partnerships. The latter of these will feature trade development through working with local non-profit organizations and the community members they serve.
