Story The Animal Emergency & Referral Center of Minnesota (AERC) was established over 30 years ago by a group of veterinarians who wanted to provide their clients with quality veterinary care during non-business hours. Animal Emergency & Referral Center started out with one clinic, one veterinarian, and one technician! Over the years, our hospitals have grown, and we highly value the relationships we’ve built with local veterinarians, pets and owners in the many communities we serve. Today, we employ a wide variety of doctors and health care team members – all specially trained in emergency and critical care--in addition to a growing referral practice for when your pet just isn't feeling like himself. Though we are an emergency practice and will never forget our roots, we are forging a future as the premier referral center in Minnesota. Critical Care, Internal Medicine (including our I-131 Treatment Facility for Hyperthyroid Cats,) Surgery & Rehab, Cardiology, Cancer Care, Dentistry & Oral Surgery, Dermatology, Neurology and Radiology are just some of the services your pets can receive when needed.
