About Like the BCPL system page for more information: https://www.facebook.com/bcplonline Story The building that houses the Reisterstown Branch dates back to the 1820's, when it was known as the Franklin Academy. In 1874 it became the first high school in Baltimore County, and in 1961 became home to the Reisterstown Branch. Renovations in 1995 included a larger parking lot and a 1,800 square foot addition.
