About The Carlsbad Oceanside Art League was formed in 1951 by a small group of established artists to promote art and cultural in the communicty Story The Carlsbad-Oceanside Art League (COAL) was formed in August, 1951, by a small group of emerging and established artists to promote art education and cultural appreciation of fine art in the community. COAL is a tax-exempt organization whose primary purpose is to serve a public rather than a private interest. COAL is supported, as funding allows, by public demonstrations, student scholarships, outdoor displays, art exhibitions, art classes and workshops, cultural tours, and a main gallery. COAL currently has approximately 200 artist members. COAL is funded in part by a Community Arts Grant from the City of Carlsbad's Cultural Arts Office" Mission To promote art education and cultural appreciation of fine art in the community Impressum Come join COAL, Its more than a place for you to show your art.
