About The Hillsboro Fire Protection District is an organization dedicated to providing the best emergency services to our citizens. Story The Hillsboro Fire Protection District covers an area of 42 square miles in central Jefferson County, MO. The Fire District provides it's citizens with fire suppression, EMS First Response, extrication, specialized rescue situations, Haz Mat Response, and any other type of emergency response. We operate from 2 Engine Houses. We currently have a paid staff of 9 that is on duty at station 24 hours a day, 365 days a year that operate out of Station 1. Station 2 is manned by a dedicated staff of volunteers. The district is lead by Fire Chief Dave Scott. Please feel free to ask us any questions. Mission It shall be the mission of the Hillsboro Fire Protection District to provide fire suppression, extinguishment and life support to all areas of the Hillsboro Fire Protection District. This mission shall be accomplished through the use of a pro-active force of firefighters, both career and volunteer, that will train in the use of all tools available in fire suppression, life support, and fire prevention education to promote safety in the fire district.
