About IHA works to continuously improve health care in the state of Indiana by helping our members navigate the complexities of today's health care environment. Story The Indiana Hospital Association was founded in 1921 by hospital leaders who wanted to improve the quality of care in Indiana by sharing best practices. IHA serves more than 170 Hoosier hospitals--from rural community hospitals to regional and statewide health systems. IHA's primary functions include advocacy, regulatory, data reporting and analysis, professional development, patient safety and quality, and communications. Mission The mission of the Indiana Hospital Association is to provide leadership, representation, and services in the common best interests of its members as they promote the improvement of community health status.
