About Transportation Development in Texas Story TTM occupies a 40 acre site in the north-east of San Antonio just north of the International Airport. The address is 11731 Wetmore Road. (SA TX 78217). It has a full sized operating railroad with a half mile of mainline and offers scheduled train rides, included in admission. It has a number of classic vehicles including a 1924 fire truck which visitors may ride on when conditions on the unpaved roads permit. Mission The Texas Transportation Museum is an all volunteer organization that collects, preserves, operates and displays historically significant transportation equipment and related items. We operate a working passenger railroad, several model train layouts and many road vehicles. We provide an educational and entertaining experience which interprets how developments in transportation technology shaped and continue to impact daily life.
