About Prairie Hills Transit provides public transportation to people of all ages in the Northern and Southern Hills. Story Public transportation is a service available to anyone wishing to use PHT as a transportation option. There are no other agencies in the area that provide public transportation or the range of services available to all riders from preschool to senior citizens. Our vehicles feature seatbelts (unlike many buses), and are lift-equipped, providing added safety and mobility options. We accept donations for rides from people over 60 that live independently, unlike transportation options with a strict fee. There are no pre-qualification regulations excluding riders because of age, sex, low income or special interest. Mission West River Transit Authority, Inc. d/b/a Prairie Hills Transit, a non-profit organization, will promote, support, and deliver safe and efficient public and specialized transportation for patrons in its service area.
