Story The Stevens Point Fire Department exists to serve and protect those within our community in a professional and friendly manner with a dedicated, dependable team. The SPFD provides fire and rescue within the city as well as a METRO agreement with Plover/Whiting and the Town of Hull. The SPFD also operates the Portage County Ambulance which has the ability to staff up to five paramedic ambulances. "The Stevens Point Fire Department is located in beautiful Stevens Point, Wisconsin. We are a 40 member full time department with 2 stations.Our Mission: The Stevens Point Fire Department exists to improve the fire and life safety of the community through training, education, and risk reduction."
